This group is focused on increasing Awareness of the individual needs for First Responders, Developing Skills and strategies to manage stressors, reframing thoughts to improve one’s Attitude towards their occupation by gaining Perspective through group exploration and Tolerance of today’s societal challenges.

Learn skills and strategies to understand and manage workplace stress.

Understanding how Stress, Burnout, Compassion Fatigue, and PTSD affects a First Responder and learning to use specific resiliency tools to help manage symptoms in order to ADAPT to the challenges First Responders are facing in today’s climate.

Group format provides a built-in social network to provide support and increase commitment to therapy and level of engagement. It helps to decrease the feeling of isolation and enhance personal growth.
This is a skills-based group using a blend of evidence-based treatment protocols such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
Training for professionals
CBT Niagara offers a variety of workshops and corporate training programs to assist mental health professionals in learning and mastering the principles of CBT as well we offer workshops on anxiety and stress management, and Compassion Fatigue, and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.
